College Scholarship
The Kiel Municipal Band (KMB) and the family of Edgar P. Thiessen (EPT) have established a college scholarship program to provide an opportunity for students to continue their education while fulfilling their desire to be part of a community band.
The KMB/EPT Scholarship is maintained by the KMB and named in honor of Dr. Edgar Theissen, who was the second conductor of the band.
Here is a summary of eligibility:
- Applicants must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at a college.
- Complete the application, with a letter of recommendation, and a recent grade report.
- Be a member of the KMB in good standing.

Summer Music Camp Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any member of the Kiel Municipal Band in grades 7-12 who desires to attend a legitimate music camp. All applications must be received by the committee no later than June 1st of the same year.
